Fundamental SEO Measures

At the beginning of your analysis, I suggest you focus on the data that gives you a direct insight into the SEO optimization of your text . Here are at least 4 elements that you should absolutely check:

  1. Keyword positioning  : Have you reached the first page of Google for your main query? What are the secondary keywords for which you are visible?
  2. Organic traffic  : Be careful to separate traffic coming directly from search engines from that coming from social networks or direct connections.
  3. Click-through rate (CTR)  : Are people engaging with your content when they see it in the SERP?
  4. Mentions and backlinks  : Have other sites mentioned your SEO text or, even better, linked to your page?

Site Engagement Data

Understanding your audience’s behavior is also an important factor in determining the quality of your SEO content. I therefore suggest you further analyze your page by checking the following four points :

  1. New visitors  : Is your text of interest to new readers?
  2. Content interaction  : Are the links you’ve placed relevant? Are you getting comments? Is your text being shared?
  3. Bounce rate  : How long do your readers spend on this page of your website?
  4. Conversion rate  : Did you successfully convert your reader into a prospect, or your prospect into a customer?

Results obtained on social networks

The signals you can analyze on social media are also  good indicators of the quality of your text . The advantage of this analysis is that it can be done even before your page is indexed on Google . Once your content is shared, don’t hesitate to check the following 3 pieces of information :

  1. Reached people  : Who is the audience that your post could potentially interest?
  2. Interactions  : Does your message appeal to your audience ( likes , shares, clicks on links or your profile, etc.)?
  3. Acquisition  : Has your audience increased since your publication ( followers,  subscriptions to your newsletter, contacts, etc.)?

Content profitability

This, of course, is the ultimate goal of your SEO content writing: acquiring new customers and selling your services or products! By combining all the data collected in your preliminary analyses, you can then calculate the return on your investment. This way, you’ll be able to adjust your next actions based on the performance of your content and improve your ROI over the long term.
