I still remember a conversation I had recently with a friend. I told him something along the lines of how people don’t usually regret the things they’ve done, but rather, most of the time, the things they haven’t done. This is in line with a lot on my outlook on life.
Things I’ve done
Vacations are a perfect time to dedicate time to everything that is not enough outside of vacations. “Friends” is a key word for me in this context. With the excuse of being overwhelmed by projects, one prioritizes work over friendships and it is clear that this does not make sense. Within a short-term vision, it does make sense because picking up the phone and investing malaysia whatsapp number data time in a good call with a friend does not make sense when you have to deliver a task and you only have a few hours left to do it.
It’s my perfect excuse
although I don’t use it as such. It simply optimize existing content to coincide with keyword popularity peaks means the absence of communication for too long. It’s something I’ve taken up again, although still insufficiently, during my vacation. Now I have to take the second step and set a date for our next visit with a good friend.
With other friends I do a little better (although not too much). We already have a date and flights to visit Germany. We are repeating the move because we all had a great time last year.
I contacted a friend with whom I spent a lot of time material data together during Erasmus. Now we have gotten used to having a call every two weeks. I have it as a recurring meeting in my calendar and it is blocked so that work meetings cannot enter. Now due to vacation issues we have not spoken for a couple of weeks so I am looking forward to resuming our calls next week.
Things you could take up again in August
In my case, I can’t complain about the things I’ve taken up again. Training for a marathon, for example, although I’m tired of telling you about it for the umpteenth time. The only “problem” is the injuries that keep piling up. I find it hard to accept that it’s a question of age. I’ll have to be more patient with the time it takes for my body to adapt. My legs are already strong, but my injuries don’t let me run as much as I’d like. Sports and various hobbies are a good example of things that can be taken up again now that many of us have more time.
