It’s 2003, I’m 19 and I’m playing GTA Vice City – a game with the best soundtrack ever (MTV 80s) and full of references to my favorite cult movies ( Scarface ) and series ( Miami Vice ). I thought at the time: this is probably the best game ever made.
The Grand Theft Auto series is for many people simply a part.
Our globalized culture, like the films it references take telegram advertising service or the music that forms the background for the game. The premiere of the GTA VI trailer itself is causing a huge stir on the web.
It seems that, just like marketing, our culture is becoming more and more omnichannel. A character first appears on the pages of a comic book or a book, then enters a series, a game, a film, a multiverse, social media, returns to the series… Until one day we may meet the Witcher as an independent being endowed with artificial intelligence in the multiverse and, in addition, we will work with him on a joint project.

GTA VI already with a record
Over 93 million views in its first 24 hours on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel – that’s an impressive feat for the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. Within 72 hours, the count had jumped to over 120 million views. “Setting this new all-time record is a testament to the game’s cultural impact and why YouTube is the leading destination for gaming generates greater engagement and pop culture content,” said Leo Olebe of YouTube Gaming. GTA VI isn’t due out until 2025, but it’s already set to be one of the most popular games of all time.
Epic Games beats Google
Epic Games has won an antitrust lawsuit against Google in the US. The central issue in the case was whether the Mountain View giant made life difficult for Google Play competitors on Android devices. This is a hugely important verdict that could change the way app stores work. The lawsuit, filed in 2020, accused Google of violating antitrust laws by forcing app users to make payments through its system and taking a significant share of the revenue.
CMOs’ Responses to the Post-Cookie World
Marketers are taking a variety of approaches to the impending end of third-party cookie tracking. Some, dubbed “visionary travelers” by DigiDay, believe that large-scale targeting is a thing of the past. When it comes to measuring campaign success, they are material data exploring methods that don’t rely on identifiers. “Privacy pragmatists” are aware of the need for change and are testing alternatives.
Fortnite Multiverse
X wants to be an “app for everything” and Fortnite a game for everything. And the latter is increasingly succeeding. The new Lego Fortnite game has already achieved significant success, gathering 2.45 million players shortly after its launch. In addition, two other offerings for gamers have appeared on the platform in a short time.
