I’m not good at this. It’s not really complicated, but I get distracted easily. My problem is this: focus. One small thing has changed in the last few days. I’ve noticed that we’re on a very good path. I said this a little while ago. We can’t fail with this strategy. Out of curiosity, I just did the numbers. This month, if I add up the sales on Ebay, we’ve already made more than 10,000 euros with our own brands. A 25% margin gives a profit of 2,500 euros. It’s still not much, but it’s something.
This confirms to me once again that it makes sense
In the past I’ve thought that I’ve found a way to do several things at once. I can set up a Tesla rental company in parallel to what I’m whatsapp data already doing. Well, no, I haven’t been able to do it. I must also say that I’m glad I tried, given that I know myself. I would have been left wanting and it would have been something that would have always distracted me from what I should be doing.
It is so obvious that you have to be a fool not to continue along this line. 2023 has been a year of opening and closing a business. It has also been a year of launching many brands.
2024 will be a year of focus
We will focus on those brands that we already have. We will not launch any new ones. In fact, within the ones we have, I will make a prioritization. There what is Inbound marketing? will be priority A brands and others of priority B, C and even D. Those of C and D, in the best of cases, we will not even look at them too much in 2025.
Focus is my problem and it is my solution. I am clear about it and in theory it is simple. Now it is time to execute. When I am tempted to do something else, I will have to reread these lines.
On knowing when to give up
It’s something I’m not good at. I told them that a project deserves at least 12-18 months of investment of time. If you depend on them financially you have material data to cover your daily expenses as soon as possible with it if you’re lacking alternative income. Measure your progress from the very beginning to see how you are progressing. Set specific goals that you want to achieve after 3, 6, 9, x months. But I’m certainly not very good at this.
